The called claimed to be optimum, she sounded nervous as well but had a convincing speech. Asked me if I wanted to upgrade my service because they had promotion. She only asked to verify my address, then put me on hold a few times and told me not to hang up until her line did I found this weird so I hung up.
Got a call from a guy with optimum upgrade offer. He asked me a lot of questions. He asked me question which he should know if he is actually from optimum, like my Internet speed. He then transferred me to the verifier. She pretends to be an official optimum representative. I advice you not to provide any personal details when a random person calls you.
This number has called me once or twice a day for about a month and I never picked up and they never left a message. Today I finally picked up and a very nervous sounding guy was on the other line. He was very awkward and it sounded like he was outside and/or kept dropping the phone. He asked me if I wanted to upgrade for 10 dollars to double my speed.I called Optimum and they confirmed this was not a call from them. Beware!
