voicemail pre recorded message that I need to appear in front of a magistrate because of a serious criminal offense tried to call number back so I could get the name of the company to report them to the attorney general it immediately says the number cannot be completed as dialed. So sick of these type of calls.
Got a message saying I had to appear before a magistrate judge for a criminal offense. Whatever. I just wish there was a way to prosecute these people for impersonating a federal official or threats.
Same scam call. Without naming person called, claims there is a pending criminal action and you should help him to help you. Wish some government authority would nail the SOB. Some elderly person might believe him.
Recorded message plays on, repeatedly, till the answering machine shuts it off.
Message states something to the effect that tries to sound all threatening and official (“Indian accent really helps…”)
“This message is intended to contact you, My name is Steve Modden and I’m calling regarding an enforcement actions executed by the US Treasury intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an additional 2nd attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a Federal criminal offense.My number is 631-729-5843. I advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you…”
