Missed the call. Voicemail was a fake robotic recording saying the county sheriff will arrest me for "fraud criminal allegations" if I don't call back to review the case. Obviously a scam call. I called the number back. No ring, just some noise and then an Asian-sounding operator picked up and said something I couldn't recognize so I hung up. I recently had my debit card compromised and had a few charges for $50 each from unknown sources. Changed my card and had the charges reversed. The phone numbers provided for the charges led to similar sounding operators at a "third party customer service." They are a fraudulent company scamming and stealing card numbers from stores or possibly merchant websites. I will report the number to the police although I'm sure they won't do anything about it.
