Good morning , I contact the IRS after getting a call from this number 631-892-0389 stating they were the IRS. I called 1800-829-1040 and spoke with a representative you told me that they will never call you unless they receive a call from you and you request a call back. She stated this number is not from the IRS that it is in fact a scam and not to provide any information to them. She stated that if you are unsure of any business you have with the IRS to please contact the IRS directly at 1-800-829-1040 and speak with a representative in reference to your account. She stated that they contact individual by mail and rarely by phone due to all the scams and the nature of the issue.
