The IRS does not threaten arrest.
The IRS does not demand immediate payment over the phone.
The IRS does not ask for Credit card, Debit card, or prepaid money card information, at all.
It is a scam ran by offshore criminals attempting to trick you into sending them money.

Got a call from this number and a hang-up. Caller ID gave me the number
. Person answers with "Treasury Department." Sounded like a guy's basement. Another phone scam…ho-hum.
Also got a call from a guy with an accent claiming to be from the Treasury Dept. sounded like an Indian call center. Lots of vague threats on a bad connection.
