Have Ben sort of dating this guy on line and there are a bunch of red flags, every time I go to call him he never answers! He says his name is Wade Richard but I'm starting to think he has a fonie Facebook page also!! Please help!!
The best way to handle phonies is to cut off all contact with them.
Also notify Facebook you suspect the webpage is fake too. But he will just create another one.
Chill Mel. RU makes a good point. Those are more than red flags. Those are STOP signs. Did you do a reverse check yet? I bet you did and it was inconclusive. This site would help you only if someone else had reported that phone number as being associated with a pattern of suspicious calls. From time to time, there are over-seas Romance Scammers who do get reported here, I don't see any other reports on that number. So you need to take a common sense look at old "Wade" and maybe get skeptical.
If you made contact through on-line dating, you might have better luck checking some of the romance scam websites. Some of those do keep track of names and phone numbers. If he says he is in the Military and posted in Africa, be VERY skeptical.
If you met socially, you gut feeling is your best guide. Bad phone number and no call backs? That should tell you enough. If you believed some hard luck story and "lent" him money, you might want to get some advice about that.
