Got a call from this number early this afternoon. They had turned off their caller ID so it only showed as OUT OF AREA even though the phone number itself showed as being from within my areacode. I let them ring through to the answering machine but they didn't leave a message. So I'm going to block them.
only thing on the recorder was "hello"," hello", no message. it's a boiler room wanting donations for police, got the same thing from 713 area which is Houston Texas.
I received a phone call from this number, it showed on caller ID: DeSoto, Missouri. When I answered, a lady said she was calling from "AA Duct Cleaning", she said I have used this service before and wanted to know if I wanted to use it again. I explained to her I have never used this service before. She verified my name and address (which you can get from any directory in my city). I asked what did they do on that service date and she said inspected my vents and cleaned my dryer coil. I told her this never happened. She gave me another number to call back if I change my mind, 877-240-7159. Must be a scam.
