Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
I had the same two messages left on my voice mail. I called the 636-253-2774 number and got a "Jack Miller". "Jack" had a middle eastern / Indian accent. Told him I was calling from the USA IRS and he just acted like he was confused. Definitely a scam. Don't call just delete any messages.
This number is a scam call your police or FBI and report them I got 3 calls today saying it was the IRS to call this number back. I called my lawyer and my lawyer said this a big scam the more people contact the IRS or FBI the more it be stop some people don't report these calls.
I received an automated call from this number, stating I was being sued by the IRS. I called back,
the 'officer' stated his name, badge # & said call was being recorded..be careful what I say, it can be
used in the court, etc. Said I was being sued by the IRS, I could face imprisonment, bank account seized, & officers
coming to my home taking personal possessions, myself, etc. Case can be resolved & avoid court &
costly attorney fees if I come up with the sum described.
I wasn't employed during the timeframe he mentioned, which prompted me to google the phone number.
Didn't need to hear the threats. Recovering from cancer this year & don't need this stress.
Told him so; he said hold on a minute. Got back on the phone, & said he dropped the charges...for now.
As soon as I hung up, the phone rang, & it was the auto. msg. again from this number stating I was being
sued..geeze.
It was a woman who reported the IRS had a lawsuit against me and I must return her call immediately. I'm glad I let it go to voicemail. This is a scam. Some people obviously lack a conscience.
