They called like 4 times subsequently and left me 3 messages that IRS filed a lawsuit against me. Block this no. and never ever give any information if you accidentally answer their call. It's a HOAX.
Yup, another phishing attempt. This is the 2nd or more times they've tried ripping me off. I don't return calls from these. Note that the valet ID says "IRS" including the quotes. If it were from the IRS they'd use a real person, not a recorded voice, and caller ID would say Internal Revenue Service.
Automated message from "IRS" saying same as everyone else. I called and asked why the message didn't include my name, and the person read off my name and an old address. I'm sure they have a program that gives them info based on the phone number I called from. I told him to get a real job
I hear the automated message & call back. It sounded like someone outside the U.S. Asking for my attorneys name. I asked then why don't I have paperwork? He said cause they couldn't serve me or find me. Impossible! The minute he asked for my social I knew it was not real. I told him I prefer to do my own investigation and hang up. He said Have a blessed day and wait for Sherrif office to come arrest me!
