I received the same text and, after receiving spam texts from others not associated with this one specifically, I was so fed up that I did a little research into how to get this to stop.
The most appropriate avenue of recourse I found was reporting these people to the FCC. I did it here:

Submitted my complaint last night and I am posting this link here in hopes that maybe this guy and guys like him will get shut down.
I did a little research on this Bennie Clark guy and, assuming I am correct, he has been convicted of fraud and things of the like. Maybe its a different Bennie Clark from St. Louis that worked in real estate...

So far I've gotten two text messages from this number - one on 11/24/10 and the other on 11/30/10. Different messages but the same optout: stop option at the bottom. I also have no desire to confirm my phone number so I'm not going to reply, however I believe I will file a complaint with the FCC.
Have received two text messages from these jerks -- 11/24 and 11/30. I called the number back and it was disconnected. Unfortunately, I did reply with "stop" the first time. :-(
