Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset. Very, very convenient.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones. They’re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd wireless handset. COSTCO & AMAZON SELL THEM.
They work beautifully! These phones also block
“PRIVATE,” “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!
I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 16 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable. I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.
NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS. THEY CAN’T GET THROUGH!
We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

For those of us with cell phones, there is a nice solution to these calls. First, search online for a "silent" ringtone. You can find one for free. It is just several seconds of nothing. Then, create a new contact, name it whatever you want (mine is IGNORE). Link the silent ringtone to this contact. Then the first time any of these bozos call you, add that phone number to your ignore contact. You can add as many numbers as you want to any contact. From that point on, when you get a call from one of them, you don't hear it and it is identified in a manner that allows it to easily be deleted.
