The best thing you can do is when they call and you dont know the number,or the same number over and over again....answer with "American Credit Card Services..." if it's not automated...they hang up lol

I suspect this might be a previous owner
of that phone number and the sleazy
scammers presented a bogus number
to caller ID.
Just got called. I pressed 1 and male voice said how can I help you. I said I've been getting calls from this number and then he hung up. What is really going on with this? Are they gathering a database of phone numbers that valid?
Just recieved call from this number. Sounded like a female recording about some sort of credit card offer. hung up 6 seconds through call. I called back twice and recieved what sounded like the same female voice announcing that the number had been disconnected. The disconnected recording did not sound like a real recording but pieced together with some sort of audio software.
If you attempt to call back note, the lack of a disconnect code and how the tones do not play in sync with the time the disconnect message is played.
