We're in AZ. We received this call after the acceptable call zone,9:54pm. Who are these people. Sooo annoying! Please have them to Stop calling so late.
Got a call from them previously, a few days back, and now they called back. I confronted the man on the phone about how it all seemed suspicious, and then let him talk... I listened carefully, and I'm convinced that it's a scam even more so than on the first call.
I filled out one of the giveaway cards at local mall. I got a call that I won a vacation package, but in order to claim it I have to pay around $200 (don't remember exact amount). On the first call, I told them I don't give my card number over the phone, and it seemed suspicious that they want money when I've won... On the second call, I talked with "Lance" (according to him it means "honest" in Latin -- riiiight), who was trying to convince me that it's all legit, and not a scam, and that credit cards are safer than cash, and soon we'll have no cash, just plastic or perhaps a chip in your wrist or forehead, and that this is a secure federal phone line, and that credit cards are secure. A bunch of [***] like that... He was going on like this for several minutes. And then he was like, you're qualified for this promotion: you're at least 25 years old and with combined income of 50,000 or greater--is this all accurate so far? I was like No, income is incorrect. After this he hung up in about 10 seconds... said I didn't qualify, but still trying to feed me [***] about how secure all this was...
