Received a call from 636-517-0000. I answered the call, but no one said anything. The phone hung up. I decided to call the number back only to get an automated voice telling me that the phone number had been disconnected. This is a SCAM/SPAM caller.
Multiple call from 636 517 -0000 claiming they are Dell techs and need to Remote Access my computer to refund $199. When I ask them how exactly they are going to refund the money to my PC they cannot explain. The first time was a female with very heavy Mexican accent, the second time was a dude with heavy Indian accent. Does anyone know how and where to report them? I will take time to follow up.
They said they were from Microsoft Windows Technical Support. I told them that was odd because I have a MacBook Pro. He then started asking me about my Mac. I asked him why he was asking about my Apple product if he is from Microsoft? The he hung up on me.
Says he's from the US Federal Bank that I won a grant. The person talking had a hard time expressing himself and can't talk straight english. He had to introduce himself more than three times and stuttering. Accent was definitely Asian, in my opinion I believe he's Chinese. Am Asian too so I have an idea. I said I wasn't interested and hanged up the phone. A month ago. I received a call similar to this one. In order to receive the grant you have to send money via Moneygram. Let's be reasonable here, if you received a grant, they send it to you for free. Why pay for the transaction? It's a scam.
