This joker contacted me today with same text as these mentioned in other comments. Asking about the car I posted on craigslist this morning. Same thing posing as capt. derick too.
Apparently he is still at it. Just got a text from him 5 minutes ago wanting to buy my motorcycle. He claimed to be Capt Derick. I agree with Justin, that this guy is a piece of [***] for impersonating an officer in the military. I'm also a Warrant Officer in the Army and my wife was selected for Commander in the Navy. When I told "Capt Derick" she was in the Navy and also stationed in California and informed him of how small the navy is, especially amongst officer ranks, he stopped texting me.. Just like Justin, I knew by the signature block on his text message that he was a fraud. Nobody outside the military cares and most don't even know our rank structures, so anyone with half a brain would not send a text to a stranger advertising that they're an O-6, simply because it's irrelevant.
never let people talk you in to use pay pal selling a car unless you go thru e bay 1 you are not protected 2you will get ripped off .e bay insures your pay pal account trust me read the site on pay pal. all scams going on . i posted an add on craigslist to sell mustang . this dude got irate cause i wanted cash . plus he didnt evan want see car. yes i got that phone call to from 6365736989 that dudes been at it for years. what dumb [***]

He's still at it as captin D.i received a text from him an hour after posting it..the extact format text I received...what an jerk and disgrace by using the military..pissed me off I have many family members serving this Country and Haven't been home in a yr
