I recieved text asking to book services with my office. Asking me to charge $1280 in addtion to the cost if my services and to send the money, via Wedtern Union, to the driver.
Its a scam. Any time someone you don't know asks you to send money by Western Union its a scam.
The way it works, the scammer will pay for goods or services with a well-made fake check. Or they will send an email that looks like its from PayPal saying that the scammer's payment is in your account. You send the excess to the scammer's friend by Western Union. That clears instantly. Then you discover that the check bounced or PayPal didn't get the scammer's payment. You are out the money you sent to the scammer's friend.
Crazy text, requesting 10 client services for total of $750. Oh yes, then asking for my credit card merchant name. I replied, you do not need that, why would you even ask? Reply text, need a little favor, blah blah-gonna have surgery --no access to credit card facilities so want you to include $980. plus 100. tips and $120 for Western Union transfer, and will cover 4% processing fees of credit card etc., and I can have $980. sent to the driver. I advised how about $10k?? If you need money why don't you go beg honestly.
