They left me a message. It was a woman who acted like she'd spoken to me before. She said "Sorry it has taken a little while for me to get back to you. It has been really busy here. As I look over your paperwork I think I can lower your interest rate to as low as 1.5% and cut those monthly payments down for you, get you out of debt sooner. It is pretty important that you call me back so I can get you started on that program. The number is 1-800-977-2091."
She never said her name or the name of her company.
Unidentified and unwanted calls. Strange numbers I never answer. I believe there are those who attempt to verify 'good' numbers for future sales to existing firms for marketing purposes. Strongly suggest they not be answered, much less making a return call.
THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. A WOMAN LEFT A VOICEMAIL THAT STARTED IN THE MIDDLE OF HER SPEECH ABOUT GETTING OUT OF DEBT. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY GOT MY CELL PHONE NUMBER. I DON'T GIVE IT OUT TO ANYONE.
Same think happend to me. A guy called, and hung up. I called my cell phone provider and had them make a note on my account. I am hoping this is not a scam to make long-distance calls at my expense.
