Two weeks ago i decided to get the home phone service through Comcast (only because I felt forced-no other alternative in order to get the low rates-especially after of years of aggrevation with this company). Nevertheless, this phone number has been calling since I've had this phone - I've given my number 2 a car insurance company that 1st weekend - I really believe insurance companies pass your informaton off faster than a click. One evening I answered my phone without looking at the caller ID - a woman (chipper voice) asked for me, I know who I've given this number to, and this voice belong to neither of them, I said "Yes, who is this", she hung up. So, I changed the phone number today-its expected to become active within 72 hours. As i am typing this message they have rung my phone twice.
Have been receiving calls from this number for the last few days. No answer when I pick up and when I called the number back I got a customer service automated message that says "if you want your number taken off of our call list enter it now" I had to enter it several times and then call back and redo it because it didn't register the first few times. Let's hope it works.
