My turn. Called my house phone. I answered and after a pause, young male voice said, "Hello?" Nothing further.
I wonder if these calls are to verify a live phone number, since lists of live phone #s can be sold to marketers?
I was eating some breakfast this morning and cell phone went off, I got up from my table and went out into the hall to be quieter (and courtious to the caller) I then answered the phone with a casual "hello" of course.
A young man's voice said "Uh...hi" then some strange scratching noice and silence, I was like "um? Okay?" the only reason I answered the call in the first place is because I am job hunting and haven't lived in this area long, thought it might have been a potential employer.
