Sent me a text with my nickname followed by Lol and a website.  Phone number did not come up in a reverse phone number lookup.

I got a text with my name followed with a lol>  bit.ly/z6z3c2 who is this or what is it does anybody know???

Yes, is is a scam.  Do not follow the link or respond to the message.
