Tired of all those junk calls? Want to avoid all the scammers, telemarketers, & bill collectors? If you have caller id, use it to identify the caller & never answer a call from someone you don't know.
If you have the right telephone provider & package, you also can block calls from specific area codes (ours is with Qwest). Calls from those area codes will no longer ring through to your phone.
Another option is to buy/use an answering machine & let all your calls go to it & ignore the ringing phone. You always have the option of picking up the line if it turns out to be someone you want to talk with.
This company just called in asking for one of our employees. When I asked what they were calling about the person stated that someone from their company spoke to the employee about a health insurance quote. I said to him well that's a bunch of bull because this person does not handle health insurance. The person asked me what do you say? And I said that's a bunch of [***] because he doesn't handle health insurance. The person told me he was going to hold me accountable. When I asked for what there was silence. I said hello about 3 times and hung up.
