They called me saying somthing was wrong with my computer. he wanted to help me. i said no. then some random "no caller id" kept calling me over and over constantly
There is only one way to get rid of these people, They were calling our house once or twice a day for weeks. I would just say "no" and hang up but one day I felt like playing so I strung the guy out. First, I said the computer was downstairs and made him wait 5 minutes. Then the boot process 3 minutes. He read me exec. files to type in, which I wrote down but UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ACTUALLY TYPE IN WHAT HE TELLS YOU TO PUT IN . Then I said it was scrolling ( 4 minutes) then I said I had a blue screen. then I said it was restarting, then I said it "just went black." Let me reboot. ( 3 minutes) then I said it was just blinking cursor. The (Pakistani??) guy was getting madder and madder. We were almost a half hour into this call. My computer was not even on. I was having a blast. finally he got "the supervisor tech" to talk to me and I played dumb. Finally he said "What does your screen say?" I said " Macintosh, LInux " I heard some colorful Indian cursing and got a dialtone. And guess what! They quit calling once or twice a day! I finally go on their "Don't call them!" list.
