In his heavy Indian accent he was Microsoft. I said"Microsoft wouldn't call me" put me on your internal DO NOT CALL LIST. Not another word from him. I think he disconnected immediately.
Claimed to be with Microsoft tech from Indiana, saying there was malware installed on my laptop recently and he needed remote access to my laptop. I asked him what was his name and he mumble Mike or something like that. I asked him how did he get my phone number and he hung up on me. DON'T GIVE ANYONE REMOTE ACCESS TO YOUR SYSTEM! PERIOD! I called Microsoft and they told me they will never call you direct and only by emails. We reported this number
Same number has been calling me for days. I have asked several times to remove me from the calling list. Guy on phone said he can not do that. He stated he was going to call me 10 times a day. He has now called me 2 more times. The number is now blocked on my phone. He stated he was from Microsoft

based on the other reports, I believe this was an IOLO fraudster who now calls back just for fun. Sure would like to block the number on the land line like we do on the cell!
Fraudulent phone call. Iolo System Mechanic NEVER calls anyone to say: We've been trying to send you an upgrade. It's really bad because I use Iolo System Mechanic on my computer....and it's excellent. One other issue: When the 4th digit of the phone number is a 0 or 1, it is NOT legitimate.
