Several calls today from 646-216-1247 caller ID says Brooklyn NY. Beginning of message left on my voicemail sounds cut off, then man says County Court, call 646-216-1247 and repeats number. They just called again- as I type this. I called the number from another phone with my number blocked and it just rings and rings.... I am glad I checked this number and see all these postings of it being a scam....

The IRs is filing on us on serious allegations – violations of federal tax regulations/ violations of internal revenue code; theft by deceptions; 4- (got lost in his accent)
IRS did an audit of our tax form between 2008 – 2012 . . . 5 years – in those 5 years we have done the calculations our tax would be outstanding or unpaid. At this point in time we are not denying that we paid our taxes, but the amount was totally incorrect amount. From the audit we came to note there were a lot of mistakes and miscalculations – whether it happened intentionally or mistake – definitely considered a tax fraud, so IRS decided to post fully 6331 irs code – will mark a lien on our assets – house, car, bank accounts frozen – credit agencies notified on our fraud – notifying our employer – passport seized along with state ID.
Sept 25,2014 – 29 oct and 23 nov – three dates when the IRS offices came to our house to provide the documentation to hand over. So the documentation that they need are courthouse documentations – can’t just drop the documentations, need signature of proof. Reason to not have left any notice – worried about our records – can’t disclose to any third party because of 63c chapter – he’s not allowed to disclose to any 3rd party.
Our records show we have never been involved in any fraud, so we are able to just take care of what we owe.
$4,879 – we have to go to the local IRS office to make the payment. If we are ready to resolve – can set up appointment – then we go to IRS office to get documentation, paperwork to see what was miscalculations. Once we see all that info then and then we make the payment to the IRS office.
IRS office – we will have to pay at our local city local branch of IRS.
2. if the case will not be resolved – stay on line, if we get disconnected the office will sue. The office for the resolvement will be closed – for next one hour, need to stay on line during that time to get the pre-paid card.

Gooogled the phone number - informed them I knew they were fraudulent. Hung up
Claimed to be the IRS Investigations Unit - wanted the name of my lawyer who would represent me in court. They said I have Taxes due from 2008. I also told them that it was not an IRS telephone number and they hung up.
Received a voicemail with a cut off beginning, but the later half was a computer recording saying something about "before taking this [the "this" must have been described in the cut off part] to your county court, please call 16462161247." I called the number (before finding this site). The guy that picked up said HE had gotten calls saying that he had received a call about a lawsuit. I replied, "yes, so did I - and it told me to call this number." At which point he hung up.
My husband got 2 of theses calls today..different guy both times one with a heavy indian accent the other not so heavy but both using the same name from a Brooklyn NY number..left a message saying the IRS had filed a lawsuit against us and we needed to call back immediately with name of our attorney or all he could do was wish us the best...we already knew of this scam going around and having dealt with the IRS before we knew they never contact you by phone they always send you something by mail first and also knowing if a lawsuit is filed against you,you are served paperwork by a process server not a phone call so we did not return the phone call but did immediately report this on the IRS tax Inspector website.
