This number called and was asking for someone named Pam Walker, and said it was regarding a problem with her social security #, no one at this address. Will BLOCK this number.
Caller ID is "New York NY". They leave no message.
I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number). I hear the following message, "Please, leave a message after the beep. I'm sorry this mailbox is full."
So they:
1) call me even though I am on the national Do-Not-Call registry
2) spoof their caller ID
3) have a message that doesn't identify themselves
4) have no way to (successfully) leave a message
5) (others report that) they falsely claim that you have contacted them first
27 April 2016 10:38am Out of Area call from 646-257-3633 / 6462573633 NYC this time. Representative advised me that they were returning my call for information I had requested from a TV commercial, on a back brace covered by medicare. I had not requested information. Hung up. Scammer called using the same tactics as e telequote insurance. Obviously new scam of back or knee braces.
This number called me about my supposed is fraud, criminal al investigation and tells me good luck if I don't get a lawyer. Yeah right. Been getting this call for the last 6 months from a different number each time and it's always "this is our last attempt" plus I follow all the it's rules and they would send me a written letter, not a phone call. Wtf?
Try not answering unknown calls and do not call them back. If you continue to answer they will continue to call.
