Call blocker might be of some help. Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd. Or where there is no caller ID. There’s no way to stop the calls from being initiated. Calls originate in India and Pakistan; they spoof local numbers.
Same threating message. Although I still have half a brain, it is a little worrisome to older people to receive these kind of calls. Please do not return them.. I am so sick of all the scammers out there.
I have a call blocking phone that works like a charm. Once you block a number, any calls from that number will ring once and then disconnect the call. Eventually the scammers figure out they are blocked and quit calling. I work for the US Government and had my personal info stolen in the OPM hack last year. I finally got fed up with these calls and invested in a call blocking phone which allows me to block up to 250 numbers. Best $50.00 I ever spent!
