They are responding to a craigslist post. They want to buy an item and want to send my a payment for it before I ever send it! They claim theyre working on the ocean and will have movers come pick the item up. They email as well.
I've received the same exact message from this number, also for a craigslist ad. I asked for clarification on which item they were interested in and received no response.
Same issues as reported by the other commentators above. Received a text from 646-349-9106 in response to my Craigslist ad, responded asking for a clarification on which items they wanted, recieved no response. Here is the exact text I received today:
"Hi there! I am very interested in buying your bike & willing to pay your asking price. I'm currently working at sea as an oceanographer for NatGeo. Due to this i will not be able to come pick up myself. I can purchase a cashier check and mail it to you to cover the final asking price and I can arrange for a reliable shipper to come and pick it up once the check has been cleared by your bank. Let me know who to make the check to and where to send it. Regards James Baessler"
