Who called from 6463623776

I was online at this time and put my number into the computer site for information request from the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies and soon thereafter my phone rang, so I suspect these were calls from the online classes institute calling to talk to me about their online classes... though I don't usually get calls at 4 a.m.

As the caller above me, I too had willingingly just given my number for information on a Hebrew University sponsored online Modern Hebrew course (they have an affiliated BIblical Hebrew course), so I was expecting a call from an unknown number and answered. What was strange was that the call immediately switched to my answering machine and when I picked up the message they had hung up instantly. I think the call was legitimate, that the caller is trained to only speak to a person (enabling sales techniques) and that I may have  a blocking systems in place that cut them off. Perhaps the 4:00 am caller (above) thought you were in Israel?

Followup. Second call came through. Person was in Jerusalem. Totally legitimate call. He says they use an international calling system and are aware that sometimes there are flukes. They try to respect the difference in time zones but sometimes can't tell where someone is. I had asked for them to call and indeed signed up for the course.

Spoke to them today, Sunday.  Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  The caller sounded very legitimate and professional.  The website also seem valid.  My only concern is if this number is their worldwide number and the number they use to reach out to applicants (when they say they are located in Jerusalem) yet it is a New York area code .... How does that work?

This is Hebrew Univ. in NYC. They are calling at odd hours and constantly that it is HARASSMENT. I thought I signed up for an enewsletter but they are trying to get me enrolled into classes. I sent them an email that I will be reporting them as harassing and going against FCC since they call past in late night
