I have received several voice mails. All came in either on Saturday or later in the evening. I just recently had a death in the family and wondered if I'm being targeted? This is definitely a scam. The IRS will always send written documentation. Beware!!!! Don't call them back!
Why doesn't the IRS or any law enforcement individual take a few minutes off of issuing exorbitant fines and penalties (with interest) or passing out traffic tickets to common upstanding citizens and track these imbeciles down? We have their telephone number...it shouldn't be too hard to find the people behind this scam. Yet we continue to receive calls every day and all the IRS does is issue warnings!
I've been getting these calls supposedly from all over the country since mid-January 2017 ... 9:30 a.m. Another scam call from 'IRS' my daughter keeps calling them back saying she's my lawyer or the police - suddenly, they can't hear her or get befuddled with being accused of scamming ... now her calls automatically go to a full mailbox - IRS my a__! Again blocking but they'll call again from another number.
