Received a text, exactly like this: "Hello Am williams i will like to know if you do window installation for the Home and can i know if you are the owner or manager Also if you do Accept credit card and happy new year?" This text came in this morning at 0711; also missed a call from this same number twenty minutes later; no message left. As a business owner I have received several of these messages, once for garage doors, this one for windows, others for detailing (none of which I do). My understanding is that this is the "I'll pay you x plus and send the difference back to me" money laundering scam, I sent a response back advising to go scam someone else and profanely belittled their grasp of the English language.

Received text message from this number. It just said "hello". I responded "???". Received a response an hour later saying "you stupid". Not responding any further to whoever this is.
Received a similar email about training I do. I told him I do not give final prices on line or even agree to train someone until I have spoken to them. He insisted on a final price and I told him my training is not an issue of money. I will block the number.
Got a text from 716-288-2209(buffalo NY area) asking about repairing a computer for him, gave him the details of price and it started to get even more fishy smelling real fast. Coincidentally, I do run a computer repair shop, so I responded with the basics of his question at first. He was obviously trying to route me in any direction but bringing it to me to have it fixed and I just stopped responding. I decided I didn't want to deal with this guy even if he was a potential customer. I just finally looked up this second number now, because I didn't find any online info on the first number he texted me from.
After a day or two, I got an almost identical text from another william in the same broken english, with this 646-494-4816 number.
Same type of text as above messages. I always get suspicious with bad English used in emails or text. I only have my service that I offer on Yelp, must be where they got my number. I just blocked without responding.
