I do not belong to AARP and I have had calls from this number. I think when you turn 65 or thereabouts you are a target. I heard at one time the DMV was selling your info. I don't know if it was true but if they did there is no going back now. I just got a new phone about 10 days ago and have had 4 calls. 1 from the phone company and 3 from telemarketers/scammers. I have not given this number out to anyone yet. I put the new number on the do-not-call list after the 1st telemarketer. I don't know how long it takes for them to take effect. (so no legitimate businesses will call, only scammers).
Got the very same call on our landline. Also claimed to be returning our call. You're right, they have some gall. Maybe I will call them back and antagonize them for a bit
ID says 'unassigned" & 646 517 7339.... good now I will unassign them from my phone-- by blocking. I never answer the phone anyway unless its someone I know. What jerks these people are.
