Received a call from this number about an hour ago. They left a voicemail but it was only 3 seconds long and was blank so I called them back.
The caller was a man named "Officer" Albert Johnson, who had a thick Indian/Pakistani accent.
He claimed he was from the "Grants Department" and that I had been selected and won a government "grant" of $9000.
It sounded fishy right from the start and so I called him out on it. He immediately got VERY NASTY and threatened to have the police come to my residence and arrest me and also "shoot my eyes out." He also went on to threaten my life several more times and threatened to assault my wife (I'm actually not married).
This is obviously a scam so DO NOT FALL FOR IT. Also, DO NOT give them any personal or financial information.
After doing some research online, I found many articles about this scam.
