We just received a call from this clown and had the same experience, (caller ID said Gerardo Javier) very rude with noisy background. Demanded to speak to (name), when I said he wasn't in, this person demanded the cell phone number, when I didn't give him that but asked if I could help him, he hung up!
So tired of these idiots that abuse a person's phone number.
They've called in the past, much with the same technique;
They call from what is CLEARLY a crowded call-center, and DEMAND (right out of the gate, too) to speak with [someone].
I transfer them, and because no one they ever ask for has legit business with them, they don't answer and go to voice mail.
The obsessively call back. Today it was 5 times in a matter of 2 minutes.
They DEMAND (always yelling) to be connected to the person's cell phone to "return a very important call"
SHOULD YOU GET THIS CALL---its not legit, do not transfer it to anyone's cell phone.
The internet says they are brokers, and I know my broker has my cell phone number.....

Said, "Jerry calling for Andy," I asked for last name (we have 2 Andy's) and he had to pause before telling me. I said he was out of the office; caller immediately demanded cell phone number saying he was returning a call. New York or New Jersey accent, spoke in short demands, very rude. I just said "No," and hung up.
This call came in with caller ID showing "Gerardo Javier". The caller asked for my boss and I told him he was out and if I could leave a message. The caller demanded his cell phone number. I had a difficult time understanding the guy and he was insulting and rude to me when I asked him to repeat himself. He kept on demanding my boss's cell phone number. I hung up on the guy and then he called again. Repeated the process. This is not a legit person or company.
This guy just called and yelled at me. Said he needed someone's cell # because he was trying to return his call. When I said that he was on the phone and wouldn't answer his cell phone he yelled at me. Hang up on this jerk! Total scam!
