I just got a call from this number, twice within minutes. No message left. I have developed a theory about these soliciting calls. An unwanted call from this New York City VOIP number arrived today. When the answering machine picked up, there was dead silence -- a strong sign of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) that shamelessly prey on the public.
The perpetrator has been flagged as RD Investing, a bucket shop whose Indian-accented brokers promote "pump and dump" stock schemes -- straight out of the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street." Avoid this scammer!
