Just received a call with a recording saying that they were from the IRS and there is some type of fraud on my account and I need to call them immediately to get it resolved. The Caller ID reads, Peerless Network. Needless to say, I won't be calling them. These people are criminals are hoping to get someone they can fool to scam money out of. Very sad!
He said this is Christopher Brown Badge# 10059 with the US Treasury Dept you have a judgment against you from the IRS case # 10654520 for 2010-2011 taxes for $4,986.25. The reason we are calling is you were sent a certified notification from the IRS and you were not home to receive it and did not inquire about the slip left in your mailbox.

We are not a collection company we are just notifying you and you will be locked up within the hour and held without bail til Monday.
The sheriffs dept will be calling you within the hour to verify your address and will be there to lock you up.
Received similar msg that irs will arrest me soon, unless i call and rectify the problem. Unfortunately there will be some who get these calls and will respond, and that's why they make these fraudulent calls.
Very similar message to those reported previously received on our answering machine; to prevent further action, I was to call this number: 646-564-3050. needless to say, i did not call
