Kevin Williams, Criminal Justice Legal Offices received a call at work. Received a complaint about me stating there are 3 allegations against me and a warrant is being issued. Calling from NY but I live in IL. Haven't been to NY in 8 years. Its a robo/recorded from some foreigner and the call keeps breaking up. Extremely time sensitive time call immediately.
I got the same voicemail. I called back and spoke to a man claiming to be Kevin a lawyer (broken English). He stated I was going to be sued from a company I had an account with over ten years ago. That account has been paid over 9 years ago. He stated that he would call my employer to tell them what kind of person I am and I should turn myself into the local police. I told him to send me his information on me. He told me I would have it by tommorow(thanksgiving), but he didn't ask for my address. I have had a similarity experience before, and I believe it's scammers who buy your old account info and then threaten you to pay them. I am going to report them to the BBB.
I received the same message so I called back and he told me it was for some American cash advance loan thing in the amount of $5000 and some change. I told him that "I don't know who the hell you are but I've never even heard of the place let alone ever used it" I hung up in his face and googled the nearest one to me and it was in california. I'm in Arizona i
