Blah, blah, blah. New number, same scam. Hang up now and go on with your day.
tldr:
It's that same old t.i.r.e.d. scam where an accented foreign speaker claims to be "Dennis Gray" from the US Treasury. It plays a prerecorded robomessage that repeats over and over and over. I got four calls in a row from this dork. I feel very sad to think of what these bullcrap scams do to easily fooled elderly people. They may actually skip a heartbeat or two upon receiving a call like this.
I'll say this- they're using a speaker with better English than before. Previously, it was so bad you couldn't even understand the threat. Now it's understandable at least, and not too bad. But clearly offshore from a country I won't name. I speak with offshore folks all the time, so I recognize the accent.
First to post here :) I'm guessing a flood of reports will roll in within the next 72 hours. The scammers have a shiny new fake number, and will blast everyone's phone without mercy.
Same here, same call, what never anyone does DO NOT Register with the Do Not Call Listing. Ever since I have, I receive more calls than ever. What a waste!
Same call. Had in past. caller ID said "Cody Ryan".( who is identified on social media as an asian- american musician)- I don't think so! This caller sounds like he has an asian/british accent with a lisp. Can't pronounce R's. ie:) "Cwiminal Pwasicution" "befwor" a "Magiswait". Really?
