If it seems to be true it usually is that's what my dad told me year's ago! It's to bad some people get rid off I asked him for a registered letter from them how long will I wait go get that ! HE'S

So stupid of me to fall for these scammers. Usually I hang up but I got money-hungry once I heard $9k (no loan). They had me to get an Apple iTunes gift card to place $250 onto it in order to receive the 9k, and then they wanted the serial number from it. I was very skeptical because all 4 callers had American first and last names with fake extension numbers and I started to think why would you guys need a 250$ iTunes gift card from me being that I'm the one being offered a "once in a lifetime opportunity". After they receive your 250, a last fee is due ($500) in order to receive the 9k because my state isn't a tax-free state "they said". That's when I automatically knew I had been scammed. When you are a young college student and single mother with low funds, just about anything sounds official especially when you have Indian natives from the "federal reserve bank" with Indian accents calling you because Indians normally work to many call centers, which kind of made me give them a little trust (as I dealt with many Indian call center respresentatives). I immediately called my bank, reported them and currently waiting to have my dispute claim processed for the 250 loss. I deactivated my debit card and now awaiting for a new one in the mail. I will NEVER fall for this scam again. No matter how desperate I am for money. They got me good, nevertheless, took my last $250 that I had saved for an upcoming bill. I wish there were refunds on gift cards! Really, I wished I checked this number on google first to read all of your honest comments.
Guy called me saying that he is from the federal government and that I won 9000$. I told him that I know, I already spoke with his manager and that I am going to receive the check next week, so I do not know how my number is still in the list. He said that he is gonna fix it. They haven't cal me for two days now.
I got a call on 10/28/16 from a hispanic person(Male) offering the same, & Ive been barraged by fraud calls to my cell phone in the last 3 days day in & day out. Somebody accessed my cell# online-perhaps on LinkedIn.
We have been deluged with scam calls from 202 area code--8 per day on some days--for 4 days. Will not give name, reason for call, or who they represent. Keep insisting a Sandy owns this number which has been ours for 2 years, No Sandy. Doesn't get to scam because we are on hyper alert for these kinds of calls. This AM caller was especially nasty when we insisted on name and reason for call instead of answering her questions. She, of course, hung up. Less than 30 minutes later we got the same scam call (same introductory questions about Sandy) from the VERY SAME WOMAN using this 646-663-7628. Person who answers phone in our house absolutely swears that at least 3 of these scam phones have the same woman doing the calls--two in DC (Hyattsville, MD and Vienna, VA) and this number in NYC. All use google Voice VoIP. She's a busy lady with multiple phones.
