received a call (caller id shows New York NY)message saying its the irs crime investigation department. Said we're being watched and investigated because there is a warrant against us. Received a similar call last night from a different number. Definitely a scam as the IRS never calls. Any correspondence is by mail.
I live in Michigan and have received 6 of these exact same calls in the past 2 days!!!!!!!
Very aggressive on their efforts to get a call back! Never call them back!
On Feb 1st, 2017, at 1:18 pm, east coast. Not my first call, but new number for me. Will also report to the IRS. The pre-recorded message has a female seeming voice and claimed to be from the IRS, a tax area, that a warrant has already been issued against... 'You and your physical property both are being monitored.' Before further proceeding, ask that we call back to the direct number.
