Ha. This guy called me and said he worked for windows or what ever, and his name was "Peter Williams". Peter Williams, had a pretty thick Indian, or Pakistani accent. I entertained him for a while and asked how to fix this problem and he said open up your computer. I said okay. He said what do you see on your computer screen? I said nothing. He asked again and I said again " I see nothing". "He then said, are you kidding me sir?" Right there I knew how bogus this was, and asked him what company he worked for again and he said Bell. Bell huh? OK. I said Ok, look I know your name isn't peter williams. he said how do you know? I said 1, your accent is thicker than a bowl of oatmeal, and 2 ever scammer uses generic white sounding names. He tried to argue but I cut him off saying second off all, if this were truly bell calling me, like they always do, it would say Bell Canada on my caller ID. as soon as I said that he hung up. Be careful out there guys. Don't answer if you don't recognize the number. If it's Important, they will leave a message and from there use your instinct. I also get calls from another company trying to gain access into my home to check my furnace saying it needs a check up, but the company I use calls me on their professional line and have a scheduled 2 times a year check up. Stay crispy folks.
