Caller ID says "New York NY". It's pretty clear that they have spoofed the caller ID. They leave no message; anyone legit would leave a message.
I do not call them back.
I googled this number and found nothing. I get a lot of calls from the 646 area code. They are *always* scams. I have no doubt that this is another. Popular scams associated with this area code: back brace scam, MS windows "trouble with your computer" scam, IRS gonna haul you to jail scam, faux political scam, payday loan scam, etc. My guess would be one of the first two. I have had a lot of windows scammers calling lately.
I answered the phone from this number. The voice on the other end sounded as if he is from India. He said that my Windows computer was sending out indications that there is something wrong with my Windows. I said that I didn't have a Windows computer. That usually shuts them up but he insisted so I said I don't know who you are and hung up. I have received quite a few of these calls but have never let them take control.
