I just got a call from that same #, & they said I qualify for free solar for our house. Now who gives away free solar? I told him we already have(which we don't) & he hung up. It's obviously some kind of scam.
Barclays ?? Free solar ?? Riiiight ! And, I'm "giving away" 'free' shares in the Brooklyn Bridge !!
Oh, Gawd ! Not the solar scam - again. I haven't heard about the "solar scam" in quite a while. They must be out on bail, or maybe they served enough of their sentence to be out on parole. It looks like they have resurrected the solar scam to raise money to pay lawyer's fees, court costs, bail bondsmen, etc., etc. (wouldn't it just be less complicated to get a legitimate business, or job ?) This one doesn't pass the "smell test". Don't participate in this one, people. "Solar" is basically a good idea, but ONLY when installed by a licensed contractor.
Received the call regarding "free solar" and they will pay me for my energy. The name given was Grasshopper Solar. I called Grasshopper Solar (which is a real company) to have my number removed from their marketing list and I was not in their system. Furthermore, the very pleasant gentleman I spoke with was surprised and assured me that they do not outsource their telemarketing/marketing and was concerned that someone was using the company name.
