I just received several texts about wanting to buy a vehicle. Person is asking for my paypal account information to send the money, but has never seen the vehicle in person, and has never asked any questions about any aspect of it, except if it was still available.
Received a text offer for a motorcycle accessory from this number. The sender offered to buy the item without inspecting it using Paypal for payment and a courier to pick up the item.
This is obviously a Paypal scam.
Here's the dead give away language:
The caller claims he/she would like to view the item for sale in person, but cannot because of the nature of their work.
They can't call to talk about the item because weather conditions are impacting their satellite server communication (how many businesses run satellite servers? Answer, few.
This is an obvious scammer approach --- probably Nigerian.
