BEWARE! Its a scammer calling you!The IRS doesn't initiate contact with taxpayers by email, text messages or social media channels to request personal or financial information. In addition, IRS does not threaten taxpayers with lawsuits, imprisonment or other enforcement action. Recognizing these telltale signs of a phishing or tax scam could save you from becoming a victim.

Called and left a message saying they were the IRS and sueing me. I called back and an Indian guy asked for my first and last name, & told him I need to see if this is the IRS first. He stated his first and last name and some fake ID number. I told him I was told the IRS would never call you like this and he told me to "have a nice day ma'am" and hung up! Lol
Called my DNC registered landline 6/28. I was on vacation. IRS scammer left voicemail.
