Caller says hie is from Ziff Davis and our Controller was on their website and was waiting for a call to receive info about their company. I don't believe it though. The call never went through to the controller.
Gentleman called wanting to speak to owner and was demanding to have the number to contact them. Said it is an emergency. Was very persistent to get the owners number. Would not release it. Notified the the owner of the call.
A lady left a message from this number claiming to be from SPS Commerce and that she would e-mail me or call back to "guide me through the process"???? Never heard of these people.
got a call from this number today, a friendly lady with UK accent wanted to place an order over the phone and pay with a UK credit card. She said she was at the head office in the UK but the shipping address for the products is in California.
Of course I declined to take her order and told her to have her people in California call me directly. She said 'ah ok, forget it then".
The caller ID said New York NY which most spoofed phone numbers do.
Feels like a scam, sounds like a scam and probably was a scam.
