It's spring/summer and the telemarketing idiots have been let out of their cages. My company has received over 30 telemarketing calls this week alone. We do not answer these calls and they don't leave messages. One of them has taken to calling all hours of the day and evening trying to get someone on the phone. They will go to their grave and never have spoken to anyone at this office. If the caller ID shows it's an 800 number, Out of Area, Unavailable, out of state area code, we do not answer and never will. The Federal DNC registry doesn't work, formal complaints to the FTC and FCC doesn't work so this is how we are handling it. If we don't answer the call we don't have to tell them anything. They can either keep calling and get the same exact treatment every time or just do the smart thing and give it up.
I wish they would give up calling here. There is no way I am answering the phone. They have never sent any samplings of their work to my company and I have been in business for 20 years at the same location. They are simply classified as telemarketers and we don't do business with telemarketers for any reason. My business phone is for me to conduct MY business not theirs. I have tried pens from different companies that print my company info on them and they have all turned out to be a waste of money for us. The last company was a nationally known company and 75% of their pens with my company info on them (which I paid for) didn't work as pens at all. Burned once "shame on them" burned twice "shame on me". I won't go there ever again. Word of mouth for my business keeps so busy we can't take on any more work. Quality works beautifully for my company and all the gimimics in the world can't beat that.
