I had a popup appear when i was on Safari telling me there might be a phishing website ahead and that the security of my computer was compromised. At the same time, there was an audio file playing which said the same thing. The website of the popup was www.macyreport, and i was encouraged to phone 647-360-4456 which i did not do.
I had the same thing pop up today, I thought it might be some kind of scam. I DID call the number and hung up when someone with a heavy accent answered.... Does anyone know if it will keep popping up or screw up my computer?
I just had this issue popped up on my Mac. But my virus scanner says nothing is wrong with my Mac. But when I try to open my safari it pops up. Anyone know how to fix it?
I just had this issue and managed to get rid of it completely by going into applications => Utilities => Activity monitor => find "Safari Macyreport" highlight => click onto "X" pop up will come up asking you sure you want to quit this process => click Quit or Force Quit until it's gone
I restarted my MacBook and opened safari and its gone!
I'm having the same problem, I tried to quit safari and it doesn't go away. Tried restarting my laptop and nothing. Very annoying, I can't browse the Internet at all. Hopefully someone knows how to get rid of this !
