Recieved a letter from "Publishers Clearing House" Stating that I was the second category winner for a lump sum of $2,500,00.00USD and to kindly contact Claims Agent: Paul Smith 1-647-707-4884, Email: [email protected] for instructions on how to process my winnings. What Idiots, they could at least printed out the letter they sent instead of using a black and white copy machine. The usual gold seal at the bottom of the page was solid black! I was very disapointed, I really wanted a gold seal! LOL

So I would assume this is a hoax?

I also received a letter like this. This Paul Smith must think I was born yesterday. Yes this is a scam

Recieved a letter, phone call and check stating I won a sweepstakes to deposit check and use it to pay them the IRS taxes.
I believe this to be a scam and the checks routing number doesn't exist. Should I send this to the FBI?

Normally things like this fall under the Postmasters domain. But I would think you could file reports with both..
Sending fake checks through the mail is a crime so contact the US Postal Service Inspectors or take it to your local postmaster:
