Called around 4pm with a woman's voice in heavy accent asking to speak with the home owners. When I asked what the call is about she said they are the energy and environment tech doing routine free safety checks on home furnaces, gas lines and connected to union gas and enbridge telling me which day is good for them to come Thursday or Friday. I said wait a minute I never booked any appointment and our furnace company just came 2 weeks ago and did routine checks and union gas comes when I call them. Let me call them first and I call you back. She hung up. After talking to union gas and our furnace company and confirmed they are scammers, I called them back. Nobody picked my call. I clearly left them VM to stop scamming people coz I reported their company.
Just called me twice here in Ajax. . First they let it ring once then hung up. Second time they didn't answer when I said hello. I don't typically answer numbers I don't recognize or long distance (usually just time wasters) but this one looked like it could have been legit. We are in Ajax and get bombarded with duct cleaners calling. I have no idea if it's the same company or different ones. But it usually starts in the morning. Then starts up again around 4pm and continues through till 8pm. I stopped answering them. Sometimes I even take the phone off the hook. Sick and tired of them. I'm tempted to let them come to my house and then when they arrive tell them to screw off. Let's waste their time!
