I received a phone call from the following number 647-951-2147. The caller call and pretended to be CRA and his name is James Watson threatened that there is a arrest warrant out for me because I am being audited and fail to provide information and he is calling to let me know the charges and as soon as he hang up the police will be there within 90 min to arrest me and if I lose the case I will lose my house, car and anything I own. He also give a CRA case ID and when I ask him if he is sure he ave the right person he read out my address and name. I called CRA and was told that my file is clear and it is not audited and in the first place they do not use CRA case ID.

I received a spam call from the following number 1-647-951-2147 identifying themselves as fraud investigative unit for the CRA. I was given a case file number and was threatened with an arrest warrant, and that my assets would be seized if I did not make a payment to my bank account for the amount owing. My CRA account shows a 0 balance.
I asked them to support this claim in writing using certified mail so that I could sign for their letter at the post office. They stated they had sent the information out starting in March and it had been returned two times.
Information given on this site reassures me that this was a fraudulent call.
I notified the CRA by email only to find out they could not give me information about the validity of this caller.

This number is a scam and they will try to obtain your personal information including SIN #.
NEVER EVER GIVE YOUR INFO TO A PERSON OVER THE PHONE REGARDLESS OF WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE.
Any reputable business or organization will never ask for sensitive information over the phone.
